What User doesn't like about Maharajah East Indian:
The spread here is very limited for Indian buffet. Food is mediocre. I think the only thing good about this place was butter chicken and Mutter Paneer. Everything else was either bad or just ok. View all feedback.

We were a group of five, including two children. Excellent service and food came fast. Def recommend the onion Badji and tiki masala Curry.
We visited from Vancouver and found this restaurant and it was an amazing experience for us. My wife tried lunch buffet and on her recommendation we also had dinner. Customer service was great, especially the name Jagtar. Food was beyond expectations. Recommend this restaurant.
Good food and ambience. I love the place. The staff could be better, but they were definitely above the baseline. This place is right next to the Calgary Tower, such a great place for travelers in general, and definitely for Indians. We went to Potato Stuffed Paratha, a garlic Naan, a butter Naan, Raita, Kashmiri Pilau Rice, Dal Tadka and Masala Chai. Everything was great, especially the Dal Tadka **** amazing. Naans were good and soft. Parantha was okay. The Masala Chai was the main reason why we were looking for an Indian restaurant in the area. But it was just okay. Overall a good thumb to the square. They also had a buffet that was closed when we went so well to explore. The staff was good, but in the end they seemed to leave us no one present. So, essentially for cleaning the table and for checking we had to hunt them since we came too late.
It was a chilly night and after a few false turns, we found this great Indian restaurant in downtown Calgary. The food was nicely presented, smelled mouthwatering and tasted delicious. Each dish just what we hoped for in terms of spiceiness. The service was a little on the casual side, but in the end we liked it a lot and would thoroughly recommend the restaurant.
