This is not a full review of the restaurant – just of one appy to go with my beer: The Scotch Egg. What is a scotch egg? It is a medium poached egg wrapped in sausage and deep fried in batter. The trick is not overcooking the yolk – which is really hard to do. Looks like they nailed it! Great place to go for after work drink specials and appetizers, the patio can be pretty epic in the summer. View all feedback.

What User doesn't like about National On 8th:
We booked for a 29th anniversary dinner at 6:30pm. On the day of, we get a call at 4pm to inform me the nightclub at 9 and there is a cover charge. Uh. Ok? The picture did not represent the roof top patio with divvy tables chairs etc. the waiter comes over to serve water that is as warm as the air!!
