Golden Chicken - California

You can never go wrong when you order from Golden Chicken! Your Steak rice bowl is fav all my time. And their emptying is just delicious!

Variety! That's a big sell of this restaurant, they have fried chicken, but also Japanese, Chinese and Thai food, and it seems like most of it is pretty good! I tried the Hibachi Steak platter, and it was very good. The vegetables were well cooked and the steak was great! Would recommend.

Occasionally they will screw up your order. However, at the rare occasions, if we want roasted chicken, I would rather here chicken than at KFC or Popeye's, because they do all FRESH directly there (good to wait 15-20 minutes). It is also delicious, and it is a local business instead of a cookie cutter chain! Golden Chicken is probably one of our favorite cat menus (my husband and I work 4-6 times a week), and it's worth getting there, just for the cookies. They are so light that they eat clouds! I'm glad they opened one in this area... I bet they also get a lot of military customers!

The Hibachi Steak Shrimp is Awesome! Steak was tender, shrimps were a good size and plenty of both.

I ordered a family meal with eight pieces of chicken, but it arrived cold, tough, and very dry. The cookies were rock-hard. When I called to complain, I was told to come in for a replacement meal. The next day, the manager was understanding and apologized, offering me a piece of freshly cooked chicken. I accepted, hoping the rest of the meal would be fresh as well. Unfortunately, when I got home, the chicken was just as bad as before. I will not be ordering from them again.
