The Copper Kettle is a Cambridge institution. It's changed hands many times over the years and the current owners have a very nice Turkish slant which complements the standard English cafe food nicely. We were a group of six on a busy Boxing day and they pulled a table together for us really quickly. Food was with us less than 10 mins after ordering and we were out again in under 30 mins. View: great (of King's College). Cappuccino: strong, hot, foamy. I had the veggie breakfast with gluten free toast. Existence of gluten free toast: Thumbs up. But: Mushrooms inedible; tasteless, tepid and out of a tin. Tomato: watery and cold. Scrambled eggs: OK. Baked beans: a lot, in a separate dish, jist the right temperature. Avocado: pre-crushed.
