Merry Monk from Cambridge Menu

Tucked away in the Cambridgeshire fens, The Merry Monk is a charming restaurant housed in three cottages dating back to the 17th Century. Originally known as The Red Lion Public House, it was renamed The Merry Monk in 1992. With roaring log fires for warmth in the winter and a picturesque garden for al fresco dining in the summer, this country restaurant offers the perfect setting for year-round enjoyment. The focus at The Merry Monk is on creating a casual and inviting atmosphere. They serve a range of meals from light bites to an a la carte menu, as well as tea, coffee, and a selection of wines by the glass. On weekends, guests can indulge in a traditional Sunday roast cooked to perfection by their talented team of chefs. The cuisine at The Merry Monk is both tantalizing and comforting, with a unique twist that sets it apart. Adrian and his wife Michelle have worked together to establish a convivial restaurant that prides itself on serving local seasonal food to both the local community and visitors.

My friend and I popped in today for lunch and oh my word what a find. The service was amazing. Perhaps the most welcoming waitress I've encountered, friendly and chatty with a wonderful sense of humour. The food was sensational.
