Call me a Philistine but when I see an old fashioned boozer I expect to find traditional pub grub done well. I wasn’t expecting to find one of the most arty farty menus I’ve ever seen in a pub. Smashed avocado, grilled aubergine, halloumi, etc, etc. Where are the fish and chips and the burgers? Stanley is right next to our hotel (Camden Road) and so it was an easy choice! It is a typical pub, but we sat outside in the garden/hoof, with heating radiator...
read moreA pub with a good atmosphere... attention is good and prices quite accessible. It's a nice place to go for a rich beer after dinner.
