Taqueria Hacienda San Vicente - Cameron

We were traveling through town with our dog, so we were looking for a place to eat outside. The staff at the Taqueria quickly accommodated us with an outside table where we were provided excellent customer service. The owner even came out to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely stop on our next trip through Cameron.

Didn't have a good experience at this place. Went to the drive thru to order and no one answered so we pulled up to the first window and realized it was someone sitting down trying to enjoy their lunch so we pulled up to the second window and there was still no place to order. I watched three people do the same thing and drive off so that's probably losing yall some of your business. Second I went inside to order and the waitress wasn't even wearing a mask. I understand it's optional now but when handling food it should be required. I got to the counter and it took at least a minute with the lady standing there to even acknowledge me. Luckily someone else walked up and was able to help me. After I placed my order I let them know I was going to sit in the car and asked if they would like my phone number to call when it was ready. They said no and they would bring it out to us. After 25 minutes no one came outside so I went in to check on the food and it was sitting on the counter in the back. Food tasted okay but some of the items were missing such as chips and salsa, no cheese for the fajitas, and asked to make sure there was when ordering. No green salsa with the flautas and no sour cream as asked for as well. We also didn't have any silverware with our meal. There's potential but there's lots of things that need improvement.

This place is new in town. The town is flooded with Mexican food places. I have eaten here recently around 4 times and have not been disappointed a single time. The food is fresh, well seasoned and flavorful. Every time I eat I get stuck because it's so good I want to reorder the same meals. The Chicken Enchiladas Verde and the Hacienda Plate are amazing. My husband actually took leftovers home and ate them and in 20 years I have never seen him do this. Keep up the great work. Suggestions: switch to fresh made tortilla chips when you can and get the Margarita machine going
