"East Kent Triumph MCC planned a day trip over to France to visit Atlantic Wall Batterie Todt Museum. After reading many Trip advisor reviews on local resturants and places to eat, we decided on La Table Du Beffroi in Bolougne old town. With a few emails it was booked and Thomas was aware that one of our members has a bad Gluten intolerance ... no problem we can cater for this was the reply we wanted. Mussels in leek white wine sauce Brouchette de Beef Fish steak all in lovely sauces with crispy chips were all cook to perfection. Deserts were Ice cream of all flavours. We fully recommend this friendly and family run resturant with its relaxed atmostphere it 's beautiful setting in Old Town Bolougne next to the Residence car park and bandstand park square to everyone and everybody. We will be back for more 3 hour+ lunches !!! sitting out on your shaded decking area. Graeme Clark East Kent Triumph Owners Club"

"It wasn't cheap, but then the best things in life aren't! The last time I raved about a restaurant, it was the Three Chimneys on Skye, one of NY Times top ten in the world at one point. This is a more 'normal' French restaurant, with generous portions, artistic and delicious, spacious and friendly. If you're heading for Calais, it's a good stopover an hour from the port. Our campsite manager [a Frenchman] recommended it as unusually good French restaurant fare, and it is. Notable starter: carpaccio of veal. The bottle of 2012 St Nicholas Bourgeuil was Loire at its best. Generally just wonderfully mouthwatering and satisfying food experience."
