"I often eat here when I'm in campbellton, where usually when shopping or meeting friends. one of my friends who had never eaten here met me for an early dinner and she was quite impressed to eat while not fantasies, is very good and the... portions are generous. we both had the Quebec style soup and then I had fish and chips and she had the daily special, which was a very fresh montreal smoked meat sandwich (bread thin on roggenbrot cut) with side the sweet and an salate. we share a piece of homemade cake and it was delicious. Checheny wes is owned and managed by a person who has been active in gastronomy and food and food business management for many years and he really knows his stuff. the service is fast and the place is very clean. the decor is quite simple and the restaurant itself is not a chic night out of type of place. They have a very large covered terrace which is open in warmer months to eat. if they want to eat really good, including a series of Quebec type menu items (campbellton is directly over a bridge from the gaspe half island of quebec), they will not be wrong on chez wes. they also take out beautifully! highly recommended."

"The restaurant is part of the Quality inn Hotel and I was surprised to see it very full on a Tuesday night. Choices ate good. They even have a real pizza oven and several choices of beer including local IPA. I chose the blueberry one and it was great as well as a very tasty burger. Loved it."
