I have to declare I am not a lover of McDonalds other than the McCafe but my partner is. But I will eat at McDonalds occasionally. Today there was no orderly queue which always annoys me. There was a barrier guiding the queue which I used but no once else did! Today there were no receipts. I was told they were unavailable. "I had my birthday dinner at Kokomo's and it was fantastic! Helpful people arranging the booking. Professional and attentive wait staff. And most importantly delicious food and cocktails! I love the tropical theme too! One of the group required medical assistance which is obviously extremely unpleasant to have this occur in such a public place. The Kokomo's staff were extremely professional, helpful and kind. Sincere thanks to those who helped"

"I dined as a guest of Pepper Lunch; all opinions are my own . As part of the generous meal at their launch, Pepper Lunch also included a complimentary dessert soft-serve – hello #icecreamthurs! I am a huge fan of soft serve, and I feel like the benchmark in Canberra has been set pretty high, with the soft serve from XO in Narrabundah. I was very excited to see that Pepper Lunch offers a range of Asian-inspired flavour toppings for their vanilla soft serve, including black sesame (unavailable at the launch) and green tea (matcha), along with caramel and chocolate options. Both my friend and I picked the matcha, which came in a huge cup and had green tea syrup and powder swirled throughout. The icecream itself was really creamy, and I loved that"

"We had a mid week dinner at Akiba, lucky we booked as we had the last seats in the place... directly at the bar. The décor was stylish, the staff were amazing and the soundtrack was great. We did the deluxe set menu and every...plate was as good as the last. Featuring seafood and various Asian styles. The bar staff were a hit mixing up an array of cocktails right in front of us, catering to our tastes."

"The extensive menu covers classic Japanese entrees like gyoza and takoyaki, tempura goodies, salads, sashimi, sushi rolls, yaki udon, ramen and noodle soups, donburi and the chef’s signature kuro black curry donburi. There are set meals from around $25 with a small main, rice, California roll, salads and sides, cold noodle sets with your choice of soba, ramen or udon. There was so much to choose from!"

"I couldnt recommend this placehighly enough. The effortlessly cool yet super friendly staff gave us charming service and regaled us with great stories about the wines we chose and are obviously passionate about their jobs. The aged Riesling we chose was deiicous and seemed way too elegant for the price... The food was *chef's kiss* The anchovy toast with sauce gribiche and the smoked ox tongue in particular were to die for (ok maybe not die but there are a few people I would kill to get at those dishes again.. . We had an amazing time and would highly recommend this under rated gem of a spot for a quiet intimate dinner or a celebration with friends."
