"We came here after hiking to Pico do Ruivo and it was the best decision ever! This place is so authentic. You are very warm welcome and offered a drink. We took 2 sangrias of maracuja. As main dish we took fish with banana. Oh my God, it was so delicious!!! We also recommend to take the garlic bread. All in one: great place to be! Worth 5 stars."

"Heute sind wir zum ersten Mal in Caniço in dem etwas abgelegenen "The Village Pub" spaziert. Wenn man im Zentrum vor dem Continente Einkaufszentrum aus dem Bus steigt, ist man in 10 Minuten her gelaufen.Der Weg lohnt sich alleine schon wegen der urigen Gemütlichkeit auf 2 Etagen. Der Pub wurde vor 21 Jahren eröffnet und schenkt neben Guinness auch Franziskaner, super Bock Stout, Heineken und Stella Artois aus - alles vom Fass natürlich! Ut de Buddl gibt's denn noch Köstritzer Schwarzbier. Wer Hunger hat kann sich ein Hot Dog oder Sandwiches bestellen. Auch Steaks im Sandwich werden angeboten. Wir sind bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal hier gewesen!"
