"Excellent eating on the trent mersey channel. we were on a canal trip and stopped right in front of the plum pudding where we could use their private berths. Welcome was very friendly, restaurant was warm (very important if they have spent the day in the cold on a barge), fine series of ales including handpull and a large selection on the menu plus a large board of specials. eating was super mouthwater and tasty, we had a selection of home made dishes that wait until 8 meals fresh to order obviously a little time. try the 'healthy' garlic bread while they wait. service was very good and personal. children loved this approach and loved even more the desserts .read more"
