Not sure where these high reviews came from! Four of us have fallen. The Schellfisch-Chowder tasted like fish cooked in milk. It was hearty but had no taste at all!! The Clam Chowder was a little more tasty. Three of us got Ribeye Steaks $35 each) were thin and swim in a brown gravy with canned mushrooms. I have lived in the Portland area for over 10 years and have driven by this restaurant several times. My partner do date night out and were looking for something different then our regular spots and we decided to pull in. We were not disappointed! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The food was phenomenal. We had the Brie and head of garlic and fruit for an appetizer. He had the steak with mashed potato and I the burger with their frittered onion rings. We also had cocktails and dessert. Their cheese cake was a hit. I had the gluten free chocolate cup cake it was decadent and you could not tell it was GF. Our Server was amazing and can't thank Julie enough on her suggestions and superior customer service. We have made this a new date night go to. Thank you for a great first experience!
