our waitress was brilliant, the vegan tacos I got were good (I wasn't too crazy for her. it felt like there was something missing). but it was the guacamole that sold me. they make it fresh before them! View all feedback.

we ate here at a visit to the family in nj. we went to lunch because I noticed on their website, they have several vegetarian/ vegan options that are on their lunch menu but not on their dinner menu. we had the table page guacamole cauliflower/cactus tacos. eating was very cheap (especially for being in kap may). the parts were not very large. I hate to give every place with vegan options a bad review, but I also hate the idea that someone try the vegan option somewhere for the first time and get something like what we get here. the summary of my man was: “It was $50 for two happy meals in the value of moderate food.” the portion sizes were very small, including salsa, which came into tiny sauce dishes. the only exception was the table page guacamole, which was very good. we came around 3:20 and read the sign on the terrace “closed to 4”. So we came back at 4 and tried to order tacos and they said they stopped serving at 3? we ordered what we could, what a burrito and herbal fajitas was. the rice is boiled in chicken stocks and they said they could not put a twee and paprika on the burrito because they had already taken them away, but the fajitas had paprika and swirling in them. the owner and all the employees were very nice, but I would not recommend eating here as a vegan. it was a confusing, disappointing experience.

I could go to lunch again since we have family in the opposite, but probably not to dinner.
This restaurant is very accommodating for vegan/vegetarian nutrition. Just make sure they are vegan and the personal will gladly share some options for them. my server pointed out that the rice was made with chicken stock, which is very helpful! (I had the vegetarian fajitas). overall the service was great and the eating tasted great!
It's a rare treat to see cactus being served at a restaurant in the USA so I had to try the cauliflower cactus tacos. I was not disappointed. This was the most authentic Mexican food I've had outside of Mexico itself. The guacamole prepared table-side was excellent also. It was my first time vacationing in the area, and I plan to return specifically to eat at La Dona. Great food, great people. Not to be missed!
