Authentically Japanese and the the first two times I would have given four or five stars.

Excellent! Excellent! Recommend the sushi, chicken namban, zaru soba, curry, salmon or Hamachi kama.

"Love the pizza here. We came here with our boss and colleagues for the first time and had the Carnivore pizza. Crust is thin but airy. Just enough toppings and not too much cheese. Tons of flavour. Great service, friendly staff. The second time we went, we got take out. Tried the Killer pizza and the Margherita pizza and an organic greens salad. Did not disappoint :"

"If you like old fashioned, quiet, clean rooms, this is the place for you. No TV. No phones (who needs one any more? . Sadly, also no fridge or coffee maker. I would have loved a way to make a cup of tea at night. Sitting on the porch looking out over the ocean and listening to birds was really nice- one of the best parts of our trip.Bed was hard and the sheets kept coming off, so that was a bummer. They need proper mattress pads instead of a flat sheet tucked in over a blanket. Otherwise I loved it and I'm glad we stayed there.EDIT I didnt review the restaurant! It's closed Mondays so if you're staying at the hotel, make alternate breakfast plans. The food was very simple and served nearly as unappetizingly as possible. It was so good! I had their catch of the day and it was some of the best fish I've ever eaten (didn't hurt that it was fried in browned butter . I would eat there every day. If you like home style cooking, you'll probably like this."

"Had the veggie burrito sans dairy with mango salsa. Quinoa/corn/broccoli mix was yum! Could be even better with vegan protein option."
