Le Chateau Barbe - Capvern

This little castle is invisible from the main street and I only experienced it as a guest of friends. However, it is a wonderful experience with food from a very high level in an environment of absolute tranquility and plenty of space outside for children... to strip around. The cook has traveled internationally and speaks English. A beautiful relaxed environment, excellent food and a moderate price.

Fantastic food served in a very quiet castle. Excellent value for money. You can see Philippe working while you eat how kitchen is open plan.

My friends and I went their under special circumstances and were told that the food we get back was a special one for the event, but essentially was from the menu. It was very good. I think this place could be a favorite if you are... to reservations. We were only there once and from this experience, we recommend it. A bit pricy, good ambience and certainly good food.

There were 4 of us that ate here. 2 had the fish and I and the other one had the duck. All of us had the salad, dessert, appertif and wine. The owner did all the cooking. He only buys enough food for the evening...reservation. The food was excellent. Every time I come to the region I always order the duck. It was tender with the right amount of chew. Served with a sauce. Just done perfectly. The chocolate cake was also delicious.The owner did that one too. The recommended wine was excellent.

Excellent repas, le personnel est très agréable et prévenant. Peut être juste revoir le prix des bouteilles à la baisse au vu de la marge pratiquée. Sinon une excellent cuisine simple mais raffinée dans le goût. Nous conseillons grandement ce restaurant !
