This was our first visit to this Cinammon Tree Restaurant. We've been to the excellent one in Canton a number of times. What attracted us today was the Sunday Buffet which started at 2.30pm. We arrived a little early but the staff were very welcoming. The Buffet is well set up. You can help yourself to Popodums and dips. Next you can take your pick from the starters. What JCH654 doesn't like about Cinnamon Tree:
The Goan veg curry with fresh veg I was promised had pre-frozen, re- cooked veg and chickpeas I don't like. It wasn't described in the menu as a chickpea curry, which I wouldn't have ordered. The cauliflower was going brown. The sauce was congealed. My chapati was hard. I'm grateful that restaurant staff agreed not to charge us for these. The rest of the meal was OK. Sad to see this place so empty. There was a time when you had to book in advance. I have visited with friends several time in the last few years but not left a review. We always have a lovely meal Visited last night with a friend and there were only 4 other tables occupied. We are both vegetarian and there is a lot of choice. Food is good and good prices
Dreadful service, some other customers Walking out due to long waiting times for their food. Buffet curries not topped up so only sauce left for your meal.
Great food, great service and great decor- so far the best Indian style buffet I've been to (on Sundays only), as well as been in the week to order from the menu- each time food was absolutely amazing!
First time trying this place and really disappointed felt rushed and food was really greasy in some dishes. Came for a family birthday and the value for money just didn’t reflect the quality of the foods we were served. Honestly had better at my local high street Indian takeaway, so won’t be going back again. £200+ for a party of 6 to have mains and shared starters is ridiculous.
A great choice of food. Nicely presented and helpful attentive staff. I've been waiting to go for a while and we all enjoyed ourselves.
