Stopped in to get a pie for the first time in over 20 years since I last visited Cardwell and they are still as delicious as I remembered them to be. You can always trust the pies in the yellow van. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Jessies Cardwell Pies:
This restaurant's food is bland and lacking in meat. The pastries are good, but the prices are high considering the portion sizes and quality. I have had better tasting meals from supermarkets. View all feedback.

I always stop at Cardwell to sample one of the range of freshly baked pies from Jessies Cardwell Pies. On this occasion I was nearly disappointed because although it was only a few minutes after noon the vendor had sold almost all of his stock. Fortunately beef and bacon pies were still available so i spent my five dollars twenty on one which I enjoyed while seated at a table beside the cart. Most Townsville people travelling north would stop at this site because it is almost a local tradition. Obviously the popularity of this business is due to the quality of the produce. I'm sure the average traveller will rate these pies very highly
My son loves his pies and rates these pies as up there with the best. What's even better is you can sit and eat it while looking over the channel to lovely Hinchinbrook Island.Look for the pie van in the sea side park as you come into Cardwell from the south.
Well worth your time to break your journey briefly in Cardwell to sample one of Jessies Pies. If not satisfied have along hard look at yourself!
These pies are excellent. Al fresco dining in the park is a bonus. Break your journey on the southern end of Cardwell. Pie lover will not be disappointed.
