"We had the seven course blind tasting with a wine pairing; absolutely amazing! Starting with a whimsical menu each course and wine pairing was perfectly presented with great attention to plating. Each course was bursting with flavour and textures and explained in detail by Chef...Ian. All the courses were sourced locally and the providers were acknowledged. The 5th course of lamb loin was absolutely to die for; the tenderest lamb we have ever had. Melt in your mouth! Would very highly recommend and we definitely will be back. Thank you Ian, Carly and staff."

"Although the restaurant was nice and their patio had a great view of the falls the food was disappointing. Most dishes came with either a strong or mild curry tasting sauce. We ordered fish, chicken and beef tacos all were just okay. Presentation of the beet smoked salmon was nice. Mussels would have been great if the sauce didn?t have such a strong curry taste. The mushroom soup of the day was SO SO SO salty! I thought maybe they just accidentally made it too salty today but from reading a previous review seems like the soup of the day might come extra salty? The gnocchi sauce also had a strong taste of curry but what I mainly didn?t like about that dish was it didn?t come with enough vegetables but it had too many olives. The tiramisu barely had any coffee flavour and their blueberry tart tasted old. I think out of the whole meal the Caesar salad was my favourite and the bread that came with the gnocchi dish. The 35 minute drive was definitely not worth it. Will not be returning."

"Nice view around the restaurant and a cozy atmosphere. Staff are super friendly and very accommodating. Make reservations to avoid waiting, plenty people wanting to eat there. The food was extremely tasty. It's very busy, the staff keep on top of everything with a smile and friendly chat. Worth the wait, we hadn't made reservations and waited a half hour because it smelled so good."

"This fine pub never disappoints. We stopped in for a very early supper (4:30pm) and decided to sit outside. The pub was already busy and certainly packed out by 5:15pm. We ordered a nice Ontario Pinot Grigio along with the club sandwich and their most excellent fish and chips (haddock). We only took the one piece of fish, for the serving is huge. A two piece would feed two adults, for sure. As usual, the service was friendly, efficient and not overbearing. Am always impressed how they politely handle precious people (for some reason, there were quite a few that eve). Highly recommended for couples and families. We will return again. Do note that their outdoor oven cooked pizza (which is excellent) is only available Friday-Sunday during warmer months."

"It was my first time there and it was the best breakfast ever in Ottawa. Kale-Pache was amazingly cooked with a nice smell and a good portion. The service was great and the hosts were friendly and responsive. On the whole, I do recommend it to all who love Kale Pache. I will try other foods soon as well."
