I'm slightly perplexed by the very negative reviews here. I arrived at lunch and there were groups at four other tables all having lunch; all of them Hadrian's Wall walkers. I ordered lunch, it arrived quite quickly, it was nice pub grub, the young lad serving came and checked everything was OK. It's not the best pub I've ever visited but I'd happily return here. read more.
