"Shocking, absolutely awful. We pre-booked and travelled from some distance, to arrive and be told they had sold a lot of takeaway, and no Sunday dinner available. Poor attitude by staff, really didn’t care. Don’t recommend. Terrible."

"We got married there on 27th of July. Lovely place. Really nice and clean rooms. Amazing bathroom! Great communication with them throughout email. Tasty food. Good service. The only thing that really upset me was that they broke our wedding cake topper that I personally bring the night before and asked lady from the reception should I leave it with them or bring it the next day as I don’t want anyone to break it. She said she will leave a note and put it safe but yet the next day it was broken and other lady who bring it with the cake just put the pieces next to the cake and when I said it’s broken she said “oh is it?” And that’s it. We used a tape to put them pieces together but let me tell you it’s not something you wanna worry about on your wedding day."

"We booked a table based on some online recommendations. The place indeed appears to be a local favourite! It was quite full for a Thursday evening. Food wise it was a hit and miss. The Gressingham duck breast medium rare was cooked to a perfection, however the slow cooked lamb was on the dry side. The portions though were quite big for all the dishes ordered. Overall a good meal!"
