What User doesn't like about Cafe Rustica:
I was eating at the Cafe Rustica this weekend. I ordered the wood oven baked Rigatoni with mushrooms, beef sauce and parmesan cheese. After a few bites, I gave up what I can only call a disgusting dish. The dish had a skin of dried baked parmesan cheese and congeal sauce. "This California casual cafe does things right. Just a few miles from Carmel by the Sea, it is worth the drive to this snug stucco restaurant with fire roasted pizzas and a spacious outdoor courtyard. We are particularly fond of the Meyer Lemon with proscuitto. We also ordered the pear salad beautifully plated delicate greens with a slightly sweet dressing and hazelnuts. The pear half is stuffed with blue cheese and roasted. Our only wish is that they would add tap IPA beer and non alcoholic beers. But we can't have everything ;"

"I always wanted to try this place but finance does not allow. Ive Heard big things about it. So on 7/29/21 I called Reservation. When I arrived there, I sat outdoors in covered terrace. My server came up asking what I want after telling me the specials. I ordered oven Roasted Pork Loin Medallions baked sweet potatoes, mushroom sauce, winter green. This was wonderful Tender The sauce was perfect The sweet potatoes are my favorite. My server Ramon I think his name was very attentive. What really surprised the hostess reminded me of Bahama Billys, I'm sorry I forgot her name. That's a few decades ago. I will return. Thank you for good food and service"
