1st time at Coronato. We weren?t disappointed. Staff was attentive and helpful (on the ball) and pizzas were delicious. We hope to go back to try other items on the menu, but we really wanted to check out the thin crust pizzas. I really liked the decor. Clean modern look.
What Frank Spadavecchio doesn't like about Coronato:
Topping were good but unfortunately the crust was very lackluster. Not NY Style or Not Neapolitan Style. Somewhere like a midwestern cracker crust. Maybe it was an off night? View all feedback.
They were rude never going back. Pizza reminded me of something out of the frozen section of the grocery store.
Best pizza in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro area. I lived in New York City for years, and while the Roman style pizza they serve at Coronato is very different, it's just as delicious as some of the best pizzas you can find in NYC. There is love and soul put into this place, and it shows. Special shout-out to the suppli, which are absolutely fantastic.
EXCELLENT PIZZAAAA!!! Yes, it's really good. Tonight we had the deep dish Sicilian pepperoni. Really, really good. Crust was light, good flavor, perfect texture. The right balance of everything. Not too thick, not too thin, not greasy, just great! Family also enjoyed the mozzarella friti and marinara, and the Suppli Romanawhich are tomato risotto and mozzarella balls. Previously, had the onion and sausage pizza with mushrooms. It's now in our regular rotation. We love this place.
