Tyler 's is a Carrboro gem. Attached to the restaurant is the Speak Easy Pub, a quintessential pub that is a local ' s favorite. What Abdullah Ledner doesn't like about Tyler's Restaurant and Taproom/The Speakeasy:
The place was empty when I went. Sat at the bar and waited, waited, waited oh and yes waited. Finally someone came over, must have been a cig break. Well ordered a beer and some food. Other than the wait it was ok. Might be worth another try. I usually go to the one in Durham. View all feedback.

read moreTyler's Restaurant and Taproom in Carrboro is a popular spot for locals looking for a relaxed meal or a celebration at the attached Speak Easy Pub. With a large selection of over 50 beers on tap and imaginative pub food, it's a perfect place to unwind and have a good time. The garlic fries are a must-try, while the grilled chicken sandwich hits the spot. The potpie could use some improvement, but the overall consensus is positive. Despite some service issues such as slow attention and lack of napkins, the food and beer selection make Tyler's worth another try. The atmosphere is a nice hybrid between a bar and a stylish dining setup, offering a bit of everything for everyone.
