"My wife and I visit Atenas for 3 weeks every February. This is our go-to place for breakfast. It's truly the best little breakfast place I have ever been to. Excellent food and fantastic service. The outdoor seating is shady and breezy, and the staff is always so friendly. They also sell pastries and jams, which are excellent. If you're in Atenas, don't miss this place."

"Food was good. Does not stand out among other Tico menus...tend to all be and taste the same, but a good meal. Service was pleasant and restaurant was a clean, comfortable modern atmosphere. View was pleasant. It was a nice stop along our journey and would stop again on future trips."

"Really great food! A man works the entire restaurant and does not speak English very well. However, we can communicate and the menu is printed in English and Spanish. The owner is really sweet and makes great meals! Definitely large enough to share. The Plantain and Bean appetizer is the BEST! Sooooo good! It can be hard to find. It's at the corner of the next street and has a sign under trees. It's worth a visit!"

"The pupusa were good. we liked the mixta. the portions were great. we have taken a lot to the house and they have been warmed up beautifully. the personal was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. they even gave us fresh spices to come home."

"Stopped to eat in Oritina on the way to SJ. Have tried the 2 restaurants right at the hiway entrance multiple times and somewhat disappointed. Drove an extra 100 meters and saw this awesomely named restaurant and had to try. Great decision!! 4K for a huge, amazing steak casado. 4K for a chicken soup with eggs that we shared as an app. Price was great and the flavors were incredible. Casado comes with a natural juice; 4 or 5 choices. This will definitely be a stop for us every time we drive to SJ. The restaurant lives up to its name without a doubt."

"Lovely place by the side of the road to eat and refresh. Small goods like mixed nuts and ice cream and pastries. Clean bathrooms. Portions were good and meal was delicious. Service was timely and responsive. Casado con chorizo shown in picture."
