I really surprised positively about the quality. Bit sweeter than the original Hungarian, but delicious
I went to try Kurtos for the first time. The owner had just opened and so we had to wait 10 minutes for him to prepare it. It is a sweet milk bread flavored with a little vanilla, grilled and served as if it were a sort of cone. A little sweet on the go, I really liked it, it reminded me of a sort of sweet pancake. Small place, friendly staff and we paid 6 euros for a roll.
Driven by the delightful memory of a recent trip to Budapest, I couldn't resist the temptation to take two kurtoskalaks to take away before going to the station. The owner was very quick in preparing so that I could take the train without having to give up this whim of mine. Both desserts, one with cinnamon and one with dark chocolate, were very good. The price is adequate, especially given the uniqueness of the product, and in line with the tourist prices of Kurtos in Budapest (and Trdelnik in Prague). Next time I will stop to eat them on site to enjoy them hot fresh out of the oven. 5 stars for the kindness of the owner!
Delicious!!! made entirely by hand....taste delicious....to try and try again!!!
