This was our first stop in an amazing trip to Tuscany. We received a very warm welcome from the owner and manager. They kindly reopened the wine cellar and recommended an amazing bottle for us to enjoy on the terrace. Throughout our stay they were hospitable and friendly including sharing a few glasses of wine cheese and bread whilst watching a sunset over the hills of Tuscany. "We came here on a Sunday for lunch- it was super crowded and full of noisy happy people. We were amazed to be able to be seated and to be served. The food was good. We liked the onion tart and pasta with white pork sauce. The Chicken liver was much appreciated. Will come on a weekday next time."

"Great value for money In connection with our holiday stay at the Hotel Sovestro near San Gimignano, we used restaurant Da Pode, which is part hotel and a restaurant. It was a fantastic experience. We ended up eating there several times. We tried several different dishes. They were all super prepared and tasty. In addition to this, the staff were top notch. Really good service, listened to our wishes, etc. There is also the possibility to drink the place 's own wines with the food It was really a good experience. Beautiful wines (and Grappa), there were both traditional and new wines on the menu. Perfect for the food. The restaurant is in the Michelin guide as a Bib Gourmand: good quality, good value cooking. It serves delicious Tuscan cuisine. Thank you for some wonderful evenings in the Tuscan sunset, with wonderful food, service and wine."
