On our way back to Monopoli, we stopped for lunch at the first place we saw, turned out to be a Il Piatto Fumante, good service, very good pasta, nice antipasti, a bit noisy due to a group of ladies using the reception room, on the whole a nice lunch experience. View all feedback.
What SteveandDD doesn't like about Il Piatto Fumante:
We went here on a recommendation. The service was appalling, the wine was undrinkable and the food so salty we simply couldn't eat it. I think this is the first time we've ever walked out of a restaurant hungry. To add insult to injury, it was quite isolated and we had to travel through several narrow lanes in the dark to get to it! Very friendly and great pizza and anti pasta .. The wine recommended by the host( fanova riserva) was excellent .. We arrived at 23.30 no problem kitchen remained open. Thx
We had a wonderful family lunch here today. The food was great, the service brilliant and a small playground for the kids too!!
