"We were somewhat concerned when there were no other diners when we arrived at 7:00 p.m. on a Sunday evening. However our meal was excellent. My wife had a tasty chicken curry while I had the Grand Buddha salad. All ingredients were fresh and the sauces/dressings were delicious. Don’t be put off by the somewhat spartan decor. It is not a reflection on the quality of the food!"

"Whenever I visit Castlegar, I have to drop by Crumbs Bakery Café. I love to start the day with their full bodied drip coffee and one of their famous breakfast sandwiches. Today, I chose beer sourdough bread for the breakfast sandwich and it had just the right amount of tangy sourdough flavour. Of course, you have to stock up on bread and pastries with each visit too. Their croissants, pain au chocolate, and other pastries are to live for. I hope to be back soon."

"Decided on a whim to check this place out for food. I got the soup of the day which was Tomato and a spicy chicken panini.The food looks homemade and simple, however the taste is exemplary. Super flavourful panini and I highly recommend it. Very good and you don’t feel terrible after eating here as it’s health conscious. The tomato soup was above average but not out of this world, for 4 bucks though well worth it.Great spot for a quick healthy bite.Vegetarian options: They have a large selection of vegetarian options.Parking: Big plaza anchored by a No Frills so plenty of room."

"I had an amazing visit last night to The Cuisine of India in Castlegar. I was so impressed with the service and atmosphere in this small BC town. The lassi drinks were sweet, I had the best veggie Samosas ever. Their mint and tamarind sauces for samosas were chilled and perfectly blended. Roti bread, pulau rice, and spicy lamb saag were all done to perfection. If you are looking for authentic, well made, and delicious Indian food, visit this location. Don’t be afraid to ask questions about dishes you aren’t familiar with, the staff was very very helpful!"
