What User doesn't like about Don Jose's Mexican Castro Valley:
The food was blah, no spices and clearly not authentic mexican. I added salsa, salt and pepper to my food; it has not improved the taste of food. There were only a few people, and now I know why. I'll never eat there again. What a disappointment, not good. I threw the left. You need to rent a real Mexican cook that knows where to cook Mexican cuisine. I'm very disappointed. read more.

2.5 stars?! I swear I must be dining at the Don Jose's in another dimension because we've gone multiple times and have had nothing but great experiences...

I feel the need to write a rave review and I am saddened that Tom S. Would write such a negative review. Look I get it, you don't always get good service at...

"Everything we ate was delicious! The stuffed falafel were a wonderful take on one of my favorite dishes. All the different salads and hummus were fantastic. We ended our meal with a delightful dessert that was impossible to resist.We also got to meet the owner and had a wonderful chat with her during our visit.
