The posole soup was out of this world! I stopped in for dinner and also grabbed a to-go order for lunch the next day. Either way, it's definitely worth a visit!

My friend and I were delighted to find a variety of vegan options at this restaurant! We ordered the soup of the day and two slices of chocolate chip banana bread to go. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended! We will definitely be returning to dine here again.

I work at Mama K's gang in NewBo Market, and I am thrilled to have another restaurant that offers a wide variety of vegan options. The soup and wrap combo is a great value and never disappoints. They utilize local ingredients and collaborate with other vendors in the market. Don't miss their selection of jams and hot sauces - I especially loved the spicy one. Be sure to ask them about the inspiration behind their dishes.

My husband I visited NewBo yesterday. Before I arrived, I had visited all the companies that had the place. On the FB side of Grandma Root Cellar they had listed their tomato sandwich on roasted bread. I was intrigued, so I ordered it. Vegan, roasted white bread with homemade Mayo and what looked like IOWA tomatoes. It was delicious. I spoke to the owner. You're a jewel! Try Grandma's root cellar. You're not sorry.
