seems to have been classified as a moderately expensive and therefore I do not give the restaurant more than 3 out of 5. this is a fine restaurant with exceptional dining, location and service. the lamb was perhaps the best we ever had, and the other classes held first-class amusing. but it has cost a lot (f.ex 1 bottle water costs 6 euro), but due to our overall great experience we are still very satisfied. if we ha... Mettiti in cima! Grazie!
Bella serata, menu eccellente, personale efficiente e cordiale, musica perfetta, cosa dire, continuare così.
After reading all of the excellent reviews for this place (and because Le Brace was fully booked) we decided to go here. From looking at the pictures on here and reviews, we thought it was going to be special, it wasn't. We went on a...Thursday and we made a reservation. We arrived and were told we could choose from about 8 tables. We asked about the terrace and they said it was closed on weekdays. Great! I don't understand why sitting people on the terrace with the lovely views (that I didn't get to see) is such an issue on weekdays. We were therefore seated in the courtyard. We were brought a free glass of prosecco and some arancini. I am not a big fish lover so I ordered from the main menu instead of the tasting menu. My first course was pasta with mushrooms and bacon and it was really bland. I have eaten in Michelin Star restaurants and I have also eaten in many chains like Zizzi's and I honestly think the starters in Zizzi's are better (and they aren't great The main was much better, we had the lamb chops and they were cooked very well. We decided not to have a dessert. We were self catering so this was a treat for us and I wish we had gone somewhere else.
