This is a great old pub (possibly Tudor) is memorable for me because I used to fish at night in the moat around Eaton Bray Castle. Under cover of darkness, the 'White Horse in my lifetime was a heavy 'grey ' which had done service as either a 'plough-puller ' of maybe a jousting steed under Henry VIII ? Thought we would go in for lunch as passing. Did not bother with food just ordered a drink. Would never return. The pub and gardens were very run down. Even the beer was warm. Shame as the appearance outside was nice View all feedback.
