"Just tried out this cinema to watch Saw X and we were blown away by this little gem. Lovely staff, a bar that serves hot, soft or alcoholic drinks. Popcorn and nachos. But the cinema itself is like going back in time, with fabulous decor, comfy reclining seat. Highly recommend. Would like to try the restaurant upstairs next as the menu looks fantastic."

"Visited after seeing previous reviews and wasn't disappointed. My partner and I had the vegan seitan roast and my meat eating mum had the nut roast and said it was delicious. The oat milk chai latte was one of the nicest I've tasted. Great choice of food, lovely, friendly staff and a chilled out atmosphere. As a vegan it was lovely to have so much choice and would definitely recommend a visit. We wished we had room for dessert as the sweet stuff looked amazing too. Dietary restrictions: Great choice for vegans and meat eaters won't be disappointed"

"Amazing restaurant, a bit hidden, but definitely worth visiting when they are in the opposite. we had a fantastic evening here and the food was great! the steak was perfectly cooked (1st time on the whole trip to wales). teriyaki chicken starter was also great. parking is easy in front of the restaurant. in any case to visit again when I am in the opposite again."

"Weekend trip to Aber, the locals recommend the Ship. Being an Australian on holiday I dutifully marched to the pub, via the castle to ensure I was at peak thirst. We got a great reception from Ian and staff, beer was extra cold, pub was homely and clean with a great vibe. Keep up the great work"

"I’ll be honest I was slightly uneasy seeing the restaurant from the outside, but oh wow was I wrong! That said, my unease was only due to the compact size and the steep steps to get in… not easy when you’re a full time wheelchair...user! The staff were very helpful however and between them and my son who was with me, we managed… and I’m so glad we did. The food was out of this world. I had the Mediterranean lamb, my son enjoyed the meatballs, and my mum loved the spaghetti dill. Each mouthful seemed to be better than the last for all of us, and we all had clean plates by the time we had finished. My lamb in particular melted in the mouth, and the sauce was delicious. The staff were all very attentive and honestly we felt more like we were with friends rather than just paying customers. Before we left we spoke with the chef and even grilled him about his recipes (which he happily told us! , since leaving I have attempted to recreate his spaghetti but it wasn’t a patch on his! All in all, I can’t recommend this place enough, and the next time I’m in Aberystwyth visiting my son I’ll be straight back here for a second visit (and look forward to many more too!"
