"We popped in for a quick lunch the other day, lovely clean interior with a great welcome. The food was fantastic I'm not a vegetarian but trying to swap out more meat from my diet and this place is perfect as it tastes better than the meat equivalent."

"Staying very locally we visited this restaurant on a Friday evening at 5.00. We were shown to our table by a delightful young lady who took our drinks orders very quickly.Our party was 3 young girls aged 9,7 and 4 and 3 adults. Although we took a fair time to order (3 young girls! the waitress was happy to let us take our time.The food came quickly, was beautifully presented (especially the mackerel, citrus salad starter which had been well recommended by the waitress We all enjoyed every mouthful and if at any time in the future we were near we would certainly return.A bonus to the delicious food was staff who all seemed to be enjoying their job. Thank you all."

"Weekend trip to Aber, the locals recommend the Ship. Being an Australian on holiday I dutifully marched to the pub, via the castle to ensure I was at peak thirst. We got a great reception from Ian and staff, beer was extra cold, pub was homely and clean with a great vibe. Keep up the great work"

"A cafe meal tonight, Butternut squash lasagne. I spoke to the owner a few days ago and he made me a vegan version, no cheese and oatmilk bechemel white sauce. It was really tasty the only downside was I was charged more than...the menu price of for the small changes, no cheese, and I'm guessing he had to go out to buy the oatmilk. Worth a visit, still reasonably priced"

"We booked this restaurant as trip advisor had scored highly and we were visiting daughter who is at Uni there. We made a reservation for for lunch for four people. When we arrived we were met with a rather miserable looking Manager. I asked...if we could take a window seat(both were empty) we were met with a flat No We were then shown to our table at the very back of the building. We ordered starters and mains. Pate. Whitebait and prawn cocktail for starters. Roast beef and burger for main. The service from our assigned waitress was lovely. However the food itself was nothing other than terrible. Over priced. Considering ours was one of the first plates served. As opened at Midday was shocking. Location Decor fantastic. Manageress needs to take a leaf from waitresses books. Food needs to be priced accordingly."

"It pains me to write this but I feel I have to. I have no complaints about the food here and I have eaten here for years. But the attitude of the lady behind the counter has bugged me for a while. She may be in charge I have no idea. This place gets busy but there’s no need to stress and be rude. If you don’t have a table free say so with a smile on your face and apologetically not in an aggressive ‘I have no time for you’ way. This has happened a few times now. Around the corner in The Little Devils Cafe a lovely breakfast and smiles on the faces of the staff as I walked in. Ok rant over!!"
