"French food and beautifully served. Regratably we were told that they cannot sustain the busineess and that from October the restaurant will only be open a few days a week. The Americans started it, the English followed now the French have fallen into the same trap. Take-aways, burgers, pizzas anything but proper food there is not way to reverse the trend, French food is on the slide."

"Placée dans un village fortifié, avec un jardin charmant, cette auberge vaut le détour si vous voulez faire un petit repas en amoureux. Le menu est un peu plus cher que les autres restaurants, mais la qualité des mets compense largement le prix. Le service est agréable et comme écrit sur le menu, il est un peu plus lent car tout est préparé sur place avec des produits frais. C'est une auberge qui correspond totalement à la beauté des lieux ! Je la recommande si vous voulez agrémenter votre visite du village par un repas raffiné comme le Cardinal devait l'être."

"My husband and myself had two exceptional evenings and dinners at Chateau de Verriere last October with Chef Michel Belcour. The meals included hors d'oeuvres with champagne, Coquilles St. Jacques (as an example), a delicious vinaigrette green salad, a nice selection of regional cheeses, dessert such Pineapple tart, and of course the perfect wine to accompany the dinner. Chef Belcour was the perfect host. You could not ask for anyone better as both a chef and a person. He was very friendly, accommodating, and informative as far as the dishes he prepared. The restaurant itself is such an amazing place. If you also enjoy antique pieces and paintings, you are in for a treat. My husband and myself (he is American and I am French) highly recommend Chateau de Verriere for dinner (with reservations). You will not be disappointed. Lydie and John T."
