"Fabulous food and great welcome . A special birthday treat and, as usual, not disappointed. Delicate dishes, beautifully created, with exquisite taste and great artistry. A great pleasure. The location north of Challans in the Vendee Department of France is not ideal, but the meal is always sublime.I had a wonderful fois gras starter, with a main course of lamb and chocolate pudding which was light and very tasty. My wife had tasty meat dumplings for a starter, cod as main course and strawberry biscuit sable as a dessert .My son had the vegetarian option created for him, which needs advance warningBut all dishes are beautiful and delicate works of art and taste. The mixtures of tastes are out of this world. After writing 50 Tripadvisor reviews in several countries I would recommend : do not go anywhere else. This has my Platinum award! Ten or Fifteen marks out of 5! Worth a long journey to eat here."

"We enjoyed an outstanding meal here yesterday evening. It was a set menu with a choice of 3 starters, 5 main courses and 3 desserts or cheeses. The menu on a blackboard was all in French and the waiter was unable to translate the fineries of the dishes, but our fellow diners helped us out which led to a very convivial occasion. The house Sangria which was recommended as an aperitif was superb, containing rum and Cointreau as well as the red wine. That was served with a complimentary rillette with croutes. My starter was cream of endives, with smoked duck breast and Roquefort ice-cream, which was stunningly presented. The flavours and textures contrasted well with one another, making it a delicious dish. My husband ordered the poached egg with cream of cucumber and smoked salmon. That too was tasty, but the flavours so subtle that they did not make the same impact as mine. Our main courses were lamb shanks with garlic and pepper sauce, and pork fillet with chorizo sauce, both were cooked to perfection and served with a gorgeous selection of vegetables. The service was excellent, the ambiance great and the food top notch. Highly recommended!"

"We'd feel a little at home, the frame is simplistic and calm. Service performed by a single person who is very welcoming and smiling. The menus are complete and affordable. Hairy nuts are a pleasure. At the dessert level, a small chocolate mousse dish that should be a little better worked, more airy, because it was very compact. This way, good address"
