"Absolutely fantastic! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We both had the duck breast which was beautifully plated with an assortment of perfectly cooked vegetables. It had a nice sauce which was light and sweet without being too much. We decided to splurge for dessert and order a grand matinee soufflé which was amazingly light and delicious. The restaurant filled up while we were there but the noise level was still low. We read that this was rated one of the best restaurants in Montreal and this meal confirmed that accolade."

"I went to this restaurant once and it was probably the last time. The service is ok but the food was abysmal I had heartache all evening after. "We were a larger group for dinner, and this turned out to be a perfect place to celebrate - all different dishes were great, like the appetizers. And the service was also very good. Since we were a larger group, we could try to start... many different things (cheek cakes, grilled octopus and garlic shrimps were the real standouts) and the most important courses were all outstanding- cod, lamb frame and seafood (like Paella) were the favorites. The cocktails were much fun, but most of us tried different wines before you stay for the meal - and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. Finally we tried Desserts, and their (imported from Portugal) Natas (Ccustard tarts) were excellent! The team of servers was very attentive, and the waiter really knew his wines and had good suggestions for those who like to drink more picky about what they like. The restaurant was not loud, although it was quite full, and it had a very cool mood. Everyone had a funny time whether they were couples, women's night or families, and I would go back to try some of the other dishes I tasted. The washrooms are also unique!"

"I had driven by Bidon Tavern several times and finally stopped in for lunch with a friend. The restaurant/Bistro has a very comforting feel to it. We both had a tasty tomato soup to start followed by the classic salmon tartare. I must say the tartare is up there. Its a trendy dish in Montreal over the past few years and Bidon serves it up well. I do recommend you try it. Service was courteous but not over the top. I did get a feeling they were a little short staffed but that is the case in most places these days."

"Bollywood Indian restaurant in St-Hubert. Brilliant Indian Food on the South shore of Montreal. 10 percent off to pickup at counter and pay cash. Choley Bhaturey, a famous channa masala was unbelievable. The delicate fried bread served with it is worth the dish itself. Tandoori Chicken. Excellent. Daal Makhni, black lentils in a brown sauce. Succulent. Manchurian entré. Szechuan flavours in Indian food with fried breaded veg topped in a vegetable sauce. A revelation, that’s a repeat order. Butter Chicken maybe lacking in Chicken chunks but their sauce was amazing. We took it Indian style, less pop and more deep cream tomato spice flavour. Beautiful colour and aroma. The Saag Paneer was the best I’ve tasted in a while. Deep flavours of creamy spinach buffered by floating buoys of paneer chunks in the creamy spinach sauce. Really tasty stuff. My favourite dish and they were all good. The Navratan Korma was delicate. Faded a bit next to the powerful flavours around it but on its own a delicacy. Paneer au piments, incredible flavour. Paneer felt homemade. The Aubergine was light and sweet. Naan bread, cheese and onion. Superior. I'm sure the garlic would be as well. Magnificent to dip in all the sauces. The Kachumbar salad was not what we expected but what the heck do I know about Indian… whatever they gave us it was fresh, with a light creamy sauce. Perfect counterpoint. Everything was served fresh and that’s really appreciated. It was our anniversary and Valentines. Gift of a Rose a nice touch. Eat this when you want to feel luxurious but not break bank. Order lots a la carte and get leftovers for at least 2 more meals for two. Warm and lovely family run place. Will be back and thank you!"

"Yasu is one of my favourite places to eat authentic Japanese sushi or meal. This restaurant is a gem, it is petite but a great place to enjoy Japanese food. Yasu is owned by a family. My favourite meal is their hiyashi chuka. It's a plate of cold noodles with pieces of sashimi layered onto the top. If you are a fan of noodles and sashimi, this definitely is the best meal to order. As for appetizer, the skate fish is to die for. It doesn't have that ocean smell to seafood. It is deep fried and accompanied with a ponzu sauce. If you are want to try a little bit of everything, I would choose the bento options. Their katsu chicken always taste fresh! If you love fried tender and soft chicken, go for the curry one or the katsu-don. The price is amazing considering the quality of the food that you get. Yasu Laprairie would not let you down if you are interested in getting some authentic Japanese food!"

"Five of us enjoyed a leisurely dinner on their quiet, enclosed patio since it was such a nice night. They offer a good wine selection although a bit pricey. Everyone really enjoyed their dishes including the starter artichoke salad and the cold soup, and for the mains the rognons de veau, tilapia and the braised beef. Our servers were friendly, informative and attentive. All in all, it was a very good dining experience and merits a return visit."
