"I used to come here all the time back before I graduated in 2020, and it was hands down the best sushi in Champaign-Urbana. I came back recently to try Sakanaya again, and while the food quality and freshness was still amazing, everything seemed to bereally salty from what I remember. I still really enjoyed myself and the service was great, but not as good as I remember. Mighthave just been an off night, but as always I will come back and try again when I am in town!"

"I had the turkey tips and link with a side of potato salad and cornbread. They turkey tips had a yummy Smokey flavor and the meat was nice and tender. The turkey link had yummy spices. The potato salad was delicious! And the cornbread was moist! Mama Wood was probably the best thing about the BBQ. She was so sweet and kind to our whole family (15 of us) who stopped on the way home from my daughter’s college graduation. Mama gave my daughter a cake to celebrate her graduation Thanks to Wood N’ Hog and Mama for making this a wonderful ending to a wonderful occasion!"

"Disappointing visit this past weekend. We came here because jarliings had a long wait and we didn’t feel like waiting, big mistake. First, Although the line wasn’t very long the wait would have been the same at the other place. Second, They are definitely under staffed and its sad to see the employees stressed out. Third, it was hotter inside the building then outside. My ice cream was melting inside the store it was so hot. Again back to the employees Seeing them stresses and sweating wasnt ideal. Lastly the ice cream was terrible. The texture was off for me, tasted like the ice cream set out and dried and then was re-frozen leaving a chewy texture. And the hot fudge sundae is made with syrup and not fudge. I ended up throwing my ice cream away. Overall my experience was terrible and i wont come back. For half the cost I could’ve went somewhere else. I’ve been to an oberweis before in the suburbs and it was great so im not sure why this store’s ice cream taste different. The only reason why im giving this place 3 stars instead of 1 is because despite the set backs the employees were kind and hard working. Definitely needs better management and organization to help with the quality issues."

"We ordered two cold brews and ask for one to be “no room” cuz one of us didn’t want ice. The cashier said “that’s kinda shady but that’s fine”. ??? I thought asking for leaving no room was industry standard. It’s not like we would pour some in the trash and waste it. Bad attitude!"

"I came in a few months ago with a couple of friends, Craig was super nice and accommodating. When I came in a few nights ago as well, he remembered me and had crafted my preferred drink when it wasn’t common, I’m super impressed by his service and cocktail creations. Absolutely would recommend, such a nice environment with wonderful bartenders."
