My man made a good business. I used to go there several years when he was on university. Now I tried the Springfield location , total garbage.!!Food: 1/5

"Disappointing visit this past weekend. We came here because jarliings had a long wait and we didn’t feel like waiting, big mistake. First, Although the line wasn’t very long the wait would have been the same at the other place. Second, They are definitely under staffed and its sad to see the employees stressed out. Third, it was hotter inside the building then outside. My ice cream was melting inside the store it was so hot. Again back to the employees Seeing them stresses and sweating wasnt ideal. Lastly the ice cream was terrible. The texture was off for me, tasted like the ice cream set out and dried and then was re-frozen leaving a chewy texture. And the hot fudge sundae is made with syrup and not fudge. I ended up throwing my ice cream away. Overall my experience was terrible and i wont come back. For half the cost I could’ve went somewhere else. I’ve been to an oberweis before in the suburbs and it was great so im not sure why this store’s ice cream taste different. The only reason why im giving this place 3 stars instead of 1 is because despite the set backs the employees were kind and hard working. Definitely needs better management and organization to help with the quality issues."

"I used to come here all the time back before I graduated in 2020, and it was hands down the best sushi in Champaign-Urbana. I came back recently to try Sakanaya again, and while the food quality and freshness was still amazing, everything seemed to bereally salty from what I remember. I still really enjoyed myself and the service was great, but not as good as I remember. Mighthave just been an off night, but as always I will come back and try again when I am in town!"

"It was ok. Surprisingly the Monical's in Danville Illinois is better. I was given little cups of dressing for my chef salad instead of a bottle. The red peppers in the salad were diced instead of rings..making it harder for people to pick out. Chef salad was smaller compared to the one in Danville. And the meats were cold cuts just sliced in half."

"I had the turkey tips and link with a side of potato salad and cornbread. They turkey tips had a yummy Smokey flavor and the meat was nice and tender. The turkey link had yummy spices. The potato salad was delicious! And the cornbread was moist! Mama Wood was probably the best thing about the BBQ. She was so sweet and kind to our whole family (15 of us) who stopped on the way home from my daughter’s college graduation. Mama gave my daughter a cake to celebrate her graduation Thanks to Wood N’ Hog and Mama for making this a wonderful ending to a wonderful occasion!"
