"We visited Hidden River for lunch yesterday whilst on a Sunday drive from Busselton. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we found a seat inside with a view of the lake and orchards on the hill. Reading the menu I must say everything...sounded delicious and to be honest it would want to be for the prices! My partner ordered the slow cooked beef cheeks while I ordered the pulled pork rigatoni. Tastings are done at your table so we tasted a couple of wines and decided on a bottle of their merlot which was lovely. The unwooded chardonnay was very nice also. The meals arrived and were well presented and looked delicious, however both dishes lacked flavour. With the pulled pork I was expecting it would have been marinated in some yummy flavours that would shine through in every bite but sadly the only flavoursome part of this dish was the apple mint tumeric salad, which was delicious. We added pepper to try and enhance the dishes. If I went back I would probably just go for the wine and maybe try a share plate or a dessert."

"We could not believe that the bakery of this little town has so many vegan options. Turns out the chef is vegan, we had the pies, the burger, Anzac cookies hot cross buns and the strawberry pastries. The staff was really helpful especially Leonie who's vegan herself."

"Looks like any ordinary cafe . Its not. This chef will go places. The marron was lovingly prepared on a great fresh salad with lovely crunchy chips. The marron are sweet and moist and you get two split in half. . I could have had more.Lots more. $35 was a good price for a little bit of luxury"
