Butcher Bee - Charleston

My friend and I came on a whim. I had been before but it was a while back. We arrived and it took a while for them to serve us but our waitress came and spoke to us and gave us “presents” as she said which were marvelous appetizers. I believe her name might have been Annie. The atmosphere is great and I have always enjoyed the whacky decorations. It’s very unique if you’re looking for a different kind of upscale dining. They were out of the item that I wanted to order, which wasn't that big of a deal. I ordered the chicken schnitzel sandwich and the meat was rubbery and disgusting and coated in Italian breadcrumbs. The sandwich was $18 and did not include a side.

Such a treat beginning to end. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I was lucky enough to reserve a spot for the farmers dinner. Everything was beautiful and balanced from the cocktails to the tasting. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an experience.

My first time getting dinner service here. Food was excellent. I had grouper with squash and brown butter sage sauce. Delicious! The pita and hummus is impressive — I’ve never had such fluffy hummus. Also tastes falafel and chicken kebab, also tasty. Service messed orders up a bit but they were very apologetic and accommodating. The setting is pretty casual, fitting for a meal with friends or family, less so for romantic occasions.
