While the staff and outdoor dining space were praised, food expectations fell short. Mixed reviews on dishes like soft-shelled crab and scallops, as well as service inconsistencies, were noted. Despite some disappointments, highlights included a delightful breakfast on the terrace, impeccable service, and standout dishes like fried green tomatoes and shrimp grits. While Eli's garnered praise for its atmosphere and food quality, some felt the overall experience didn't quite match the elevated prices. Consider trying Eli's for yourself, expectations tempered accordingly.
We dined at Eli’s twice year ago and were blown away by the quality food at reasonable prices. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same today. We ordered the soft shelled crab special at Unfortunately the batter was so thick it totally overpowered the sweetness of the crab. It was almost inedible. We will not be going back
Having been to Eli’s Table before, we expected great things, and we weren’t disappointed. From the service to the food, everything was spot on. Their Shrimp and Grits is outstanding! A signature appetizer, Fried Green Tomatoes Napoleon, is simple the superb
Uninspired and overpriced. Took outoftown visitors for a recent lunch and was extremely disappointed. Not a good ambassador for Charleston’s restaurant scene! “Black Forest Ham and Brie Croissant” was deli ham, cardboardconsistency fried green tomatoes; with “aoli” consisting of mayo mixed with dry oregano; all on a huge croissant heated to the texture of a dry brick, Lunch for no alcohol, was Never again
Eli’s Table was amazing! Our meal was incredible and the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend for any occasion. We will be back
The best steamed mussels I've ever had, anywhere. Five Stars across the board, you won't be disappointed
