This place was recommended by our car driver and we loved him. Saw at the bar and had one of the best oysters I've ever had. Greg gave us great service and the place was really nice. Loved the bacon wrapped crab filled shrimps and View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Oyster House On Market:
The food is not bad but the manager is horrible. We ask if they provide military discount before we order. They told me they do have the discount. However, when we ready to pay the bill I found that there is not discount on the bill. Moreover, the manager change his words and deny what he say before. I don't care about the money but I do care about the attitude. They make me feel sick. If there is a zero star, I will... View all feedback.
Oyster House is in a perfect location!! My husband and I had a sweet little corner table on the outside terrace and we could see the City Market! Oysters were on the spot and everything else we had was delicious! Our server Brooke was the best! She gave us hush puppies on the house because I mentioned that I wanted to try them and I wish I had ordered them. She was attentive, but she didn't float. Absolutely perfect for our date night. Thanks again, Brooke!!! In the concierge on Francis Marion I will definitely recommend this Oyster house for a perfect evening in Charleston!
It was wonderful ! The best oysters I've ever eaten and their She-crab soup was devine! Our server, Emma, was lovely and such a pleasure to have as your ambassador.
Always went to Magnolias when in town for their shrimp grits, but tried Oyster House’s shrimp grits last night hands down was better tasting! First, the shrimp was fresh sauce was a pink colored( possibly saffron) tasty sauce. I did go to our reservation today at Magnolias to compare the two restaurants, realized that the shrimp I’ve always eaten in the dish was frozen- not fresh the lobster sauce( light brown colored) didn’t compare to the O house sauce. Oh, and you have to try the hush puppies/ praline butter- out of this world tasty( I rarely eat fried food), however, it was lightly battered moist! My new to go to restaurant! And, service was great! Win-Win!
Everything was great! We had several different types of oysters (grilled, rockefeller, buffalo, and, of course, various types of raw). Our waitress, Jennifer, was amazing. Brought us each a glass of champagne to welcome us to our first visit to Charleston (and our honeymoon, which she found out about after bringing champagne). Can't wait to return to Charleston to go back again!
Super place, we were in the bar, super-friendly staff, great food, easy relaxed environment and atmosphere. Loved it.
