We spent a delightful Christmas Eve at Bar Marcel. The service was excellent as were the modules frites. I however cannot give it a 5 star due to the fact that I had asked not to be seated in a corner. Our table for two was indeed placed in the tiniest corner with one of us having to face the wall.

Vermicelli dish very salted. Hamburger tasty but scary to eat. Eddie was excellent. Wine through the glass prices are above the top and I would come again more often with a lower cork fee $20 too steep, try $15 and see what happens. I am in the Tastevin group and enjoyed Christmas dinner and many Wino friends would enjoy BM more often with a liberal corkage. Thank you. Bill Clark

We love this restaurant! Eddie,our server is the best waiter I Charlotte. Manager Susan always makes us feel at home. The food is impeccable. Great bar and in 8 visits this year every meal has been special!

Cocktails and small plates were very good. But short rib entree was overly salty, seems like nobody is checking these things before serving. Staff handled it very professionally and substituted another dish.

This is the second time we’ve tried this restaurant. Both times we’ve been disappointed with beer/wine selection, appetizers (charcuterie board was skimpy) and dinner (lamb chops and pasta). I don’t envision this place being around for a considerable amount of time. Expensive and not worth the portions or experience sadly.
