"I think there was some kind of relationship crisis going on between the staff on the Saturday evening we ate here. We had issues with our waitress, who either didn't like us or was simply incompetent (leaving finished glasses on the table for minutes,...banging the plates down with a kind of sadistic pleasure), but were charmed by the voluable and knowledgeable sommelier (who delivered a lecture on the region, but then unfortunately vanished for most of the rest of the evening) and, alas, distinctly unimpressed by the dishes sent from the kitchen: Unhappy fatty farmed salmon. Dryish chicken with a good-tasting red wine glaze. Tasteless overcooked risotto... I won't go on. We were hungry, we ate, we paid, we left full up. The discordances in communication seemed to affect us more than other tables, but as only tables were occupied in the restaurant for Saturday dinner at that isn't a great tally. On the positive side, there was no piped music (YAY!!!!"
