I was not looking forward to going out for dinner on a very hot Summer evening, however, we chose to sit outside at Kenzi Saki Bar and I was very glad we did. The restaurant is situated just off Victoria Avenue beside a busy cosmopolitan courtyard . The food was great, service good and there was a very welcome breeze. View all feedback.
What Scottie Kassulke doesn't like about Kenzi Sake Bar:
Wagyu dish was cold and terrible and sold as Wagyu steak. Our guest a Chef confirmed it was Brisket. Told staff who just shrugged shoulders. Very poor for price. Seafood dishes were very good. View all feedback.
Excellent sushiAmerican style with great garnishes and nice presentation.
Eight course degustation menu was okay. Nothing fancy but adequate. Good service. Tempura prawns were delicious. Just difficult to find restaurant as directions inadequate. Should tell you it's in the Concourse complex in Chatswood to save walking up and down Victoria Avenue looking for it. Had to phone them eventually to get better dIrections.
I can only review the Ramen as we only tried their Ramen.I can only say that their Ramen tasted very bland and I have had so much better tasting Ramen else where.I agree with one of the other reviewers in regards to how long it takes for the food to arrive. We were there for lunch and there was only 3 tables to wait on. With 3 cooks and 3 wait staff, surely it does not take 30 minutes to serve four bowls of bland tasting Ramen.
Poor service, overpriced, meals took a long time to come out, the so called wagyu beef tasted like chewy gum. As a Chatswood local, I've tried many Japanese restaurants nearby and this is by far the worst.
Bought a ramen coupon and visit the first time. The coupon claimed it worths up to $19 and upon arrival, there are no menu and there are no way to verify their 'worth up to $19' claim. Ordered the food and drink and they never arrive after 30 minutes. Saw other table who arrive later than us got served by water, and we still got nothing, so check with the 'same' waiter' about our food and drinks, and he asked us what did we ordered !! Obviously he is busy with only a handful of customer and missed our order. Food is alright but if I have to buy it with a soft drink for $19, I must be crazy.Lesson I learnt this time is when purchasing a 'discount' coupon, don't be misled by the original value that they claimed. Verify the original value of the coupon claimed first before purchase in order not to get disappoint.
