Have been waiting for an opportunity to try this place as the reviews have been excellent. Finally got to grab a $4 large skim latte. Yes, it was very good and got better as I sipped. Will be back again. View all feedback.

What User doesn't like about The Steam Engine:
Despite the incredibly slow service, it was still worth the visit ... until yesterday. On top of the slow service, we had a very average flat white and hot chocolate. The coffee was just warm, and the flavour just wasn't right. The hot chocolate was boring. This place needs to work on its consistency as, in the past, we have had very good coffee. "Delicious gelato! My partner had blood orange gelato, after dinner mint, sticky date and dulce de lèche. I had the dulce de lèche and hazelnut Roche. Our favourites and biggest standouts were the hazelnut Roche (with loads of wafer pieces and actual pieces Ferrero Roche!) and the after dinner mint - it has the perfect amount of mint that gives that kick!"

"Good selection of options throughout the Asian spectrum with vegetarian options that can be vegan, except the burnt butter cauliflower. we sat outside, which is quite beautiful, allied by restaurants in crows nest are designed for it. the interior seats are available on some tables and some benches. good food, we enjoyed the dishes, the tamarind curry had a very nice taste, creamy with a hauch sour.
