What Carmen J likes about El Monterrey:
We stopped here for dinner recently after driving by so often and seeing so many cars in the parking lot. We were greeted fairly quickly by a nice man who seated us. We promptly received chips and salsa-which were delicious. The restaurant has a very eclectic and authentic vibe. I love all the mural work and colors. Our server was very kind and helpful. This is going to sound a bit harsh but I think this restaurant does not like their fellow natives. Keep in mind it 's a Mexican restaurant. Our work crew wanted to try this for the first time and the servers almost were acting like we weren 't there for a minute. In addition to a variety of dishes, the menu also offers a assortment of beverages and typical house dishes. Additionally, the menu card also takes into account dishes and ingredients that have been positively highlighted by guests, even if these have not yet been recorded.
