beautiful and beautiful pub on the main street, more or less on halfway our hike today morning and afternoon. the menu choice is simple and well focused, the food preparation is done on large standard and tasty. seriously good the place there. a disadvantage: the toilets could do with something refurbishment and upgrade, it would then be easier to maintain. just a thought. a good experience! What Althornelady doesn't like about The Red Lion:
We visited today after being recommended. I honestly have to say it was the worst roast I have ever had. The beef was so thick and tough, served with anaemic roast potatoes, frozen veg and Aunt Bessie yorkshires, served luke warm on a cold plate. So disappointing. The surroundings inside looked grubby needed a lot refurbishment, and the carpet was black with ground in dirt. View all feedback.
